Mayoral race

John Tory has been re-elected as mayor of Toronto, and is en route to become Toronto’s longest-serving mayor.

The incumbent surpassed his opponent Peñalosa, having secured about 61 per cent of the vote.

“We continue to build a city that welcome and supports everyone, there is no room in the city for divisiveness and bitterness,” Tory said in his speech following his re-election.

“I love our city and I love working for the people of our city,” He said.

“My ideas are available to mayors everywhere as an example,” Peñalosa said as he delivered his speech after the defeat.

Etobicoke North

Humber wards

Making a return is former Etobicoke North councillor Vincent Crisanti, who was just re-elected.

For the first time in 22 years, the Ford family name was not seen on the municipal election ballot.

Ward 1 voted 55.3 per cent Conservative in the past 2022 Provincial Election.

Etobicoke Lakeshore

Amber Morley has won in Ward 3.

This was the second time Morley ran for Toronto City Councillor for Etobicoke-Lakeshore. Incumbent Mark Grimes defeated her in 2018.

Brampton Mayoral Race

"We're going to work day in and day out to move Brampton forward," Brown said in his celebratory speech.

Patrick Brown has been re-elected, about 60 per cent of the vote in Brampton.

Brown has served since 2018 as Brampton's mayor.

Andrea Horwath is hoping to become mayor of Hamilton, but the city has not yet posted results as some poll hours have been extended.

Barrie

Currently, there are no results in Barrie, but the votes are counted.
