Following the arrest of two eminent Canadian marijuana advocates, seven ‘Cannabis Culture’ dispensaries across Canada have been raided.

After Canada’s ‘Prince’ and ‘Princess’ of Pot, Marc and Jodie Emery arrests Wednesday at Pearson Airport, the couple’s chain of dispensaries have been targeted during Toronto Police’s ‘Project Gator’.

IGNITE welcomes Kaitlyn Bristowe, Arlene Dickinson for International Women’s Day

Women work hard. Really hard. Which is why it’s important to empower and raise them up as often as possible – and not just on International Women’s Day.

IGNITE held an event Thursday to celebrate women and invited former Bachelor contestant and Bachelorette lead Kaitlyn Bristowe to speak.

She shared what her experience on the show was like, warning the crowd that it’s not what it’s cracked up to be.

“I know it seems glorious to date a bunch of guys on T.V. and wear these beautiful dresses, but it was really stressful. By the end of the show, I lost chunks of hair from stress,” she said. “No friends, no family, no phone. You can’t talk to anybody.”

Culinary students at George Brown are giving back, reducing waste

George Brown College’s culinary program is giving to students in need in an effort to reduce wasted food.

Culinary students at the downtown college whip up fresh food daily, serving up several courses that serve four people, including desert. After one recipe is graded by the professor, the students are left with three portions to take home but that often wasn’t what happened.
