Calgary Zoo puts national beaver to the test

The Beaver has competition as the Calgary Zoo wants you to vote for the greatest Canadian animal.

Trish Exton-Parder, lead media relations person at Calgary Zoo, said the competition is to get Canadians to learn more about wildlife and to challenge’s the supremacy of Canada’s national symbol.

Blank Canvas Gallery re-opens

The Blank Canvas Gallery re-opened its doors to the public last night after being forced to close them on New Year’s Eve of last year. After a scuffle with Toronto Police on New Year’s Eve, the Blank Canvas’ first location at 1544 Bloor West, the gallery was forced to shut down and turned to the community in helping them relocate and re-open. Humber reporter Aron Anthonymuttu was on scene Thursday night for the debut night of Blank Canvas’s new location at 890 St. Clair Avenue West in Toronto.
