Humber President Anne Marie Vaughan proudly accepted a $30-million donation from the Barret Family Foundation.
“This is a momentous occasion, the largest gift in Humber’s history,” said Vaughan at a ceremony held Tuesday morning at the Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation.
The money will be used to support Humber’s STEM programs (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) through more than 100 annual scholarships for students taking engineering and technology-related degrees and diplomas.
