Voting times extended at 27 polling stations in Ontario

Voting results in 19 ridings in the Ontario election will delayed by up to two hours tonight.

Polls were supposed to at 9 p.m.

In all 27 polling stations are affected.

At some polling stations time has been extended for ten minutes, and for some up to two hours.

The ridings affected are:

  • Parry Sound—Muskoka
  • Whitby
  • Cambridge
  • Don Valley West
  • York Centre
  • Ottawa—Vanier
  • Mississauga East—Cooksville
  • Mississauga East—Cooksville
  • Mississauga—Lakeshore
  • Etobicoke Centre
  • Etobicoke Centre
  • Oakville
  • Parry Sound—Muskoka
  • Sarnia—Lambton
  • University—Rosedale
  • University—Rosedale
  • University—Rosedale
  • Kiiwetinoong
  • Simcoe North
  • Mississauga—Lakeshore
  • Thunder Bay—Atikokan
  • University—Rosedale
  • Perth—Wellington
  • Flamborough—Glanbrook
  • Algoma-Manitoulin

Elections Ontario has previously stated that fires, late opening times, sewer backups and power outages caused delays in the opening of polling stations
