Last Sunday was one of Canada’s biggest nights in the music industry. The annual JUNO Awards awarded eight Canadian artists and staged eleven live performances, including Arkell, Haviah Mighty, Mustafa, Tesher and more, demonstrating Canadian musical excellence across many genres.
Notable personalities like Francophone nominee Roxane Bruneau and TikTok star and Indigenous activist Tia Wood were some of the presenters of the evening.
The 2022 JUNO Awards also recognized Canadian music educator, Darren Hamilton from David Suzuki Secondary School in Brampton, Ont. for the impact he has in his students and community.
