Humber College is managing to provide a career-focused education to students despite this time of pandemic, and it’s keeping students updated with a specialized webpage.

“The college has set up a webpage to provide students, faculty, staff and the community with regular updates, which includes a frequently asked questions page,” said Gina Antonacci, associate vice-president, academic at Humber College.

She said the college also updates and responds to questions on its social media channels.

Emily Milic, public relations and communications manager at Humber, said the updates allowed the community to stay informed and to understand what is happening at the educational institution.

“From a communication standpoint, it’s always been our goal to communicate as frequently as possible to make sure that everybody has the information that they might need to make the decisions,” she said in an online interview.

The college decided to deliver full-time and continuing education courses both remotely and limited in-person during Fall 2020.

Milic said the college has created a microsite that provides plans and resources for students returning to campus.

“So, for students and staff who are going to be physically coming back in the fall, it outlines the steps that need to be taken and what they might be able to expect when they come on campus,” she said.
