TTC 25-cent increase met with outrage

TTC fares will be going up by 25 cents in January, 2016.

This change comes in wake of an estimated $53-million budget shortfall, as reported by the CBC.

The price of the Metropass will remain unchanged for the time being, according to a statement from the TTC.

Toronto Mayor John Tory originally announced a fare freeze but said on Monday that he does believe that fares should change annually.
