The trial for suspended senator Mike Duffy started on Tuesday

Duffy faces 31 charges including bribery, fraud and breach of trust.

The trial started with opening statements from both the crown and defense, and the first witness was originally scheduled to appear today, but after a lunch break it was decided that would be moved to Wednesday.
