Oculus Quest 2, the newest VR Headset from Facebook’s Oculus division, began shipping this week.
Along with Sony’s PlayStation VR headset, newcomer Valve Index from Valve, and HP’s upcoming Reverb G2, the market for VR headsets commercially seems to finally be revived.
And despite looking like a fad during the early 2010’s when the Oculus Rift VR Headset was funded by Kickstarter and released in 2012, there are now over 230 tech companies investing and developing VR -related products.
That’s mostly because of how technology has advanced since the 1990’s and how companies learned from the mistakes of their predecessors.
