After being indicted in his birthplace, singer and songwriter R. Kelly has surrendered to the police.
Following his hearing on Feb. 23, 2019, Kelly’s bail has been set to $1 million dollars. He is facing 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse against four women.
The judge set bail at $250,000 for each victim. For the last two decades, allegations against Kelly have spread throughout the music industry, but gained widespread attention after the release of Lifetime documentary series Surviving R.Kelly premiered in January.
The six-part documentary shares the stories of the numerous victims who have lived with these secrets for half of their lives.
