The long search has now come to an end for three-year-old Kaden Young.
The young boy who was swept away in Ontario’s Grand River almost two months ago had hundreds of dedicated volunteers searching the site where he disappeared.
Kaden’s mother Michelle Hanson said that her son’s body has now been found.
“It has been a long, extremely draining two months of searching and now has finally come to an end…”
“The amount of support was absolutely incredible, and we really can’t thank everyone enough.”
Kaden was swept away from his mother’s arms on February 21, after her vehicle entered the Grand River in Orangeville.
After missing a road closure sign, Hanson drove into a flooded section of the road where she was able to remove her son out of her vehicle,
but lost grip of him due to the strong moving waters.

Hundreds of people helped and organized search parties along the river with hopes in finding Kaden’s body.
Police said a fisherman had found the body of Kaden 13 kilometers from where he was missing.
Hanson said funeral arrangements are being made, and will be post details to come.
