Humber College will be open this weekend even though a possible ice storm is in the forecast for Saturday morning, according to The Weather Network.

The college is hosting its annual spring open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 14. Humber North, Lakeshore and Orangeville will open up their campuses and classrooms to potential students this weekend

Most of southern Ontario is due to get rain by early Saturday morning which will then turn into freezing rain and eventually ice pellets. The freezing rain will likely move into Sunday as well, according to the Weather Network.

Environment Canada advises to drive carefully, as untreated roads will be close to winter conditions. Power outages are a possibility with the amount of ice expected to accumulate and winds gusting up to 60 km/h. Flooding could also be a possible outcome.

However, the rain should slow down and eventually stop by Monday.
