TTC Riders packed together like sardines at Nathan Phillips square demanding a better commute.
The group was protesting overcrowding on the public transit system, especially subways.
Over 20 people joined at city hall to march to Queen’s Park to deliver their message to Premiere Kathleen Wynne.
The group feels that bad transit both the fault of the province and the city.
“We’re hoping the pressure is on here” said TTC Riders’ added that “John Tory should be a better advocate.”
Shelagh Pizey-Allen was also part of the fishily fashioned crowd.
“Transit riders are sick of being sardined.” said Pizey-Allen
In a January TTC report found over 30,000 people travel south of Bloor per hour and almost half a million travel from Finch to Union per day.
The advocacy group previously gave commuters relief kits that includes breath mints, crossword puzzles, and instructions on how to push the government to take action on overcrowding..
