The Toronto Sex Crimes unit laid additional charges in a case regarding a hospital worker sexually assaulting a child in 2012 on Thursday in a conference.
Terrence Lee Noftall, 55, of Toronto, is being charged with an additional nine charges including three counts of sexual interference and three counts of sexual assault. Two counts of Breach of Prohibition Order and one count of accessing child pornography.
Detective Constable Alexandra Marks from the Sex Crimes unit said the charges are a result of Noftall allegedly communicating through social media with children and accessed “online child sexual abuse material.” These events took place between 2016-2017.
In 2012, Toronto police said Noftall was working at Toronto Western hospital where he befriended a woman and her child. He then allegedly exposed the child to pornography, sexually assaulted them and communicated inappropriately.
Between 2005 and 2009 Noftall visited Bee Happy family campground in Innisfil where he sexually assaulted a child according to Toronto police.
By January 2018, Noftall was arrested and was charged.
Police are concerned there may be other victims and are asking anyone who may have any information to call investigators at 416-808-8500.
