Toronto Police have arrested a 66-year-old Toronto man in connection with the Church and Wellesley disappearances of Selim Esen and Andrew Kinsman.
Bruce McArthur, a landscaper, has been charged with two counts of first degree murder.
Police believe there could be more victims connected to McArthur.
Police created a task force in August called Project Prism to investigate the disappearance of both Esen, 44, who went missing last April, and Kinsman, 49, who went missing last June.
Project Prism also investigated the death of Tess Richey, another high-profile murder victim in the Church and Wellesley neighbourhood.
Police are not calling McArthur a serial killer, however Det-Sgt. Hank Idsinga said McArthur has “killed at least 2 people that we know of and we believe there are more victims. So whether to attach that label or not is up to you.”
The bodies of the two men have yet to be found, but police said they have enough evidence to charge McArthur.
