Emily, the rescue dog that went missing at Toronto Pearson Airport yesterday, has been found safe.

She was travelling from Greece to Toronto and escaped customs last night.

Peel Regional Police confirmed Emily was still missing early this morning, but just before 11 a.m. today, Canadian Border Services Agency said she was safely located and returned to her family.

A similar incident occurred in April, when a labradoodle named Cooper was mistakenly flown to Hamilton and escaped from the Hamilton International Airport.

The dog was later found uninjured outside the airport gates.
