Three people have been shot early Monday morning at Cameo night club in Woodbridge.

Two of the injured are male and one female; all were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

York Regional Police arrived at the scene and started helping victims that were shot outside of the nightclub. An investigation is underway.

“It has been described to me as quite a chaotic scene. We do believe there was over 150 people in the club at the time of the shooting,” Const. Andy Pattenden told CP24.

Police believe the shooting took place both inside and outside the club and they are urging drivers who may have a dash-cam on their car to contact police.

“We’ve had some good success recently in our investigations with people capturing suspect vehicle or people fleeing areas,” Pattenden said.

The Cameo nightclub shooting is the fourth shooting to occur in the City of Vaughn within the last month. Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua released a statement CP24 on Saturday to on the safety of the city.

“We understand the public’s concern over the senseless shootings, but we should not live in fear,” Bevilacqua said.

He has encouraged the city residents to not give up on the city as the community is working to continue to make it a safe place.

“I want to assure citizens of Vaughan that we are working closely with York Regional Police,” he added.

Police is asking anyone with information on the Cameo shooting should come forward as they are still investigating the scene.
