Ontario NDP leader, Andrew Horwath launched a new campaign this week to have students share stories on their troubles with debt.

“This is a first step in addressing the crisis of student debt in Ontario and it is an important one,” said Horwath in a media release.

“Seemingly insurmountable student debt delays important life milestones for young people such as buying a car, owning a home, starting a family or starting a business. This makes student debt not only a burden for those who carry it, but on the provincial economy as a whole.”

The Canadian Federation of Students Ontario support the NDP’s decision to remove interest from Ontario student loans. They are willing to hear the students’ stories.
