The Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon is one of several events taking place in Toronto on Oct. 17 and 18.
Other festivities include Toronto After Dark, Scarborough Community Multicultural Festival and The Stop’s farmer market at the Artscape Wychwood Barns.
The Waterfront Marathon 5K race takes over most of the downtown core Saturday.
Participants are advised to give themselves time to before the start of the race.
Motorists can expect road closures throughout Toronto. The QEW and Lake Shore Boulevard will be among the major arteries affected.
