Constable David Wynn’s funeral was held in St. Albert, Edmonton at a hockey arena on Monday.
Over 5,000 people attended including Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

RCMP, military and police from around the Canada gathered to remember the fallen Mountie.

Constable Wynn was shot in the head on Jan. 17 while investigating a suspected car thief.
He died in the hospital on Jan. 21.
Before the funeral, people took to the streets to pay tribute to the fallen mountie.
The hashtag #wearred was trending on Twitter as people across Canada shared photos and paid tribute to Const. Wynn online.

A sea of red uniforms marched into the Edmonton hockey arena.
Colleagues, friends and family spoke about Const. Wynn’s life and tragic death, but when speaking about the fatal incident that took the life of the 42-year-old father of three, Const. Wynn’s sister said, “David would have wanted us to forgive.”
Const. Wynn was described as being very caring, funny, and had a passion for fishing.
