One World Trade Center opens its doors

The World Trade Center is opening its doors again for business 13 years after the 9/11 terrorist attack, creating a milestone for New Yorkers and The United States of America.

Conde Nast publications will be the first tennants of the building, with 170 of the company’s 3,400 employees moving in now and the other 3000 to arrive in 2015. They are filling five floors of the tower according to CBC.

One World Trade Center is a 104-storey, $3.9 billion skyscraper, and is America’s tallest building.

The One World Trade Center is now the tallest building in America with a height of 541.33 metres. It doesn’t surpass the CN Tower that has a height of 553.33 metres.

The CN tower was the world’s tallest self-supporting structure, but was taken over by the Burj Khalifa in Dubai in 2007.The One World Trade Center is the tallest commercial use building surpassing the Willis Tower in Chicago.
