CBC is reporting that four people have died in a house fire in East Gwillimbury, Ont., on Friday.

A father, mother and two of their teenage sons were found together in an upstairs bedroom, emergency officials said.

Kevin, 55, Jennifer, 51, Cameron, 16, and Robert Dunsmuir 19 died inside their home on Good Friday and were found together in an upstairs bedroom, officials said.

Another son, David, 24, is the only remaining member of the immediate family. He is a Brock University student and was away at the time of the fire and police said he has been notified.

Members of the community gathered at Sacred Heart Catholic High School in Newmarket, Ont., on Friday evening to mourn their loss.

York Regional Police said that at 5:30 a.m. ET they received a 911 call and were dispatched to the home.

Const. Blair McQuillan said police and firefighters were unable to get three men and a woman out of a second-floor bedroom, where they died.

The Toronto Sun is reporting that Jennifer Dunsmuir was disabled because of an aneurism in 2010 and had trouble walking.

Ontario Fire Marshal spokesman Scott Evenden said the investigation into the fire has only just started and could not say where the fire broke out or if some alarms were working.

Evenden also said it’s too soon to know what caused the fire or why the family was unable to exit the home.
