Doctors spoke about research which could lay the foundation for women’s health care in Ontario at a public forum on Monday night.

The Power Study” examined many different factors that can cause variations in health. Some of these circumstances included age, geography, other medical conditions and, of course, gender.

Conducted over the last decade, the research aims to find solutions for the specific medical needs of women.

Doctors said this research is a great baseline of information, however there is still work to be done.

“The reality is this information can get out of date very quickly,” Dr. Dunn said to the audience. “There are still many questions that we could not answer because more research is needed.”

The panelists at the event included Dr. Paula Rochon, Dr. Andrea Gruneir, Dr. Gillian Hawker, Dr. Lorraine Lipscombe and Dr. Sheila Dunn.
