A new service that lets people learn a skill in exchange for goods and services is launching a trial run in Toronto this week.

The school, known as Trade School Toronto, is modeled on an already established  barter and exchange system in New York.

The goal right now is to find out how interested people are in this approach to learning.

Elizabeth Fraser, Trade School organizer, told Humber News there has been a high level  of participation from both instructors and students across Toronto.

A meeting will be held Oct. 18 at the Harvest Noon cafe at the University of Toronto to determine the future of the operation.
