Two unidentified men were shot and killed early Tuesday morning in a Rexdale townhouse complex, leaving police with no suspects.

The men were found in a laneway between a row of houses around 1:30 a.m. on Jamestown Cres. , near Martin Grove Road and Finch Avenue West.

Toronto Police say an eyewitness heard  gunshots and may have seen a suspect leaving the scene of the crime.

“A woman heard gunshots from outside of her house, she looked out and saw these two men laying on the ground and possibly one person leaving on foot. When we got there we found these two men with obvious gunshot wounds and they were [pronounced dead] at the scene”, said Const. Victor Kwong.

The identities of the victims are not yet known and forensics will be on scene all day identifying them, Kwong told Humber News.

Greenholme Junior Middle School, across the street from the crime scene, was not affected by the ongoing investigation.
