By Lily Tran and Shaan Mohamed Humber was starving for some activity Thursday. Hosting the Humber Games, a mini-fair inside the Humber Students’ Centre, the Recreation and Leisure students put on a fun event to raise money for a worthy cause. All proceeds from the afternoon of activities went to the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Foundation.
The Humber Hawks have kicked off their holiday shoe drive today. The initiative runs until Friday, and it calls for student-athletes to bring in their old running shoes or cleats. The shoes will make their way to Kingston, Jamaica and will be donated to Holy Trinity high school. Natalie Stoberman has the story.

According to a study by the American Cancer Society, just one hour of walking a day could lower the risk of breast cancer in women by 14 per cent. Previous studies stated that overall physical activity reduces the breast
