The annual city-wide cleanup initiative, Clean Toronto Together, kicks off today.

The weekend-long event is expected to draw just over 161,000 participants, according to the City of Toronto website.

Friday is the corporate and school 20-minute makeover, which starts at 2 p.m.

“Students and businesses across Toronto are encouraged to work together…by cleaning up litter and recycling around their places of work or schools,” the website said.

The rest of the weekend is dedicated to “community clean-up days,” where efforts are focused on public spaces.
