Rihanna will be playing a second sold out show tonight at the Air Canada Centre after a sold-out last night.

The tour is already getting widespread coverage, with the New Yorker magazine calling it “quite possibly (and rightfully) the most anticipated concert of the year.”

Marcus Farias, who is a big fan, went to the show and said it was a great start to all the concerts he has lined up to attend this year.

“Rihanna lit the ACC up, despite it only being an hour-ish performance. Her vocals were amazing from her opening ‘Stay’ to ‘Diamonds,’ the queen truly proved herself,” Farias told Humber News.

“I’ve never been to a concert like that, ever. I’ve been front row at Beyoncé and Gaga, but Rihanna is nothing comparable to them,” Farias added.

Another big fan, Brianna Josephs attended the show, and said it was amazing.

“She did a few old songs like ‘Umbrella’ which I enjoyed because it’s such a classic,” said Josephs.

Josephs enjoyed the concert so much that she’s going back for round two tonight.

Selling records might not be as important as they were back in the day, at least not for Rihanna.

Billboard reported the singer had tied with The Beatles for the second most total weeks at No.1 for her single “Work” featuring Canadian artist, Drake.

The single has spent eight weeks in the number one spot, which means that her overall record of sitting at number one is now 59 weeks.

Her latest record “ANTI” may have only sold 460 physical copies [LINK TO HUMBER NEWS STORY ABOUT THIS], but she’s still selling out shows on her world tour.

The North American leg of her tour has over 36 shows, while the European leg has just 24.

Many cities needed to have a second date added because of the high demand for tickets.
