College faculty and supporters rallied at Queen’s Park as the college strike closes its third week.

The Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU), the union representing the college teachers, counsellors and librarians, and the College Employer Council (CEC) sat down at the bargaining table on the same day for the first time since the strike started on Oct. 16.

Strikers bused in from across the province to continue to express their demands for better job security and more academic decision-making powers.

Some of the approximately 500,000 students out of classes have also rallied alongside faculty as a sign of solidarity.

This marks the 18th day of the ongoing strike.
