Peel Region is encouraging residents to leave their garbage out after a strike involving 140 garbage collectors ended on Friday.
The Peel Region twitter account announced the strike ended early in the morning.

Workers said the main issues with the contractor Emterra Environmental revolved around fair wages, benefits, and job security.
LIUNA Local 183 represents the striking garbage collectors and said members were asking Emterra for the same terms and conditions as another company, Progressive Waste Solutions.
There will be a collection over the weekend to make up for what was missed on Thursday.
