Mourners attend Neville-Lake family vigil at Vaughan’s St. Padre Pio church

Community members attended a vigil for Daniel, Milly and Harrison Neville-Lake, and their grandfather Gary Neville, who all died after a collision in Vaughan Sunday.

Over 500 mourners gathered at St. Padre Pio church to show their support for the Neville-Lake family.

Supporters convened in the church’s parking lot to comfort each other as the struggled with the grief shared by many in the GTA.

The somber and dreary atmosphere gently shifted into a celebration of life.

The ceremony ended with an emotional rendition of Amazing Grace.

A 29-year-old man faces 18 charges, including dangerous driving causing death and impaired driving, in relation to the Sept. 27 collision.

Marco Muzzo, of King Township, appeared at Newmarket court Friday.

Brian Greenspan, Muzzo’s lawyer, requested the bail hearing be put over to Oct. 19.

Until then, Muzzo will remain in custody.
