A new grassroots organization called City of Sleeping Bags is trying to help homeless people by buying all-season sleeping bags for them.

The Homeless Hub, a website that provides resources to help tackle homelessness, estimates that over 5,000 people are homeless in Toronto and 450 sleep outside on an average night.

Today Humber’s Early Childhood Education program held a fundraiser in the Student Centre to do its part.
