If you’re in the downtown core today, you may want to pay special attention to where you park.
An increased number of law enforcement officers are on the street for another round of the tag-and-tow blitz.
Since the blitz came into effect in January, police have ticketed, more than 61,000 vehicles and more than 12,000 have been towed.
The blitz is a part of an ongoing initiative introduced by Mayor John Tory.
Police are asking for co-operation from drivers. This means no stopped for a quick coffee, or to drop off your dry cleaning.
Not everyone is having an easy time obeying the street signs, especially delivery companies who rely on quickly parking their vehicles in front of downtown business. However Constable Clint Stibbe says there is no exception to the no-stopping rule.
