First year journalism student Mitch Stark sat down with the host of CBC Newsworld’s The Investigators,Diana Swain. They discussed personal journalism experiences and the changing landscape of journalism.
Stark took a school assignment to interview a working journalist and produced well-structured interviews with major players at the CBC.
Swain spoke with Stark about the importance of investigative journalism and how “fake news” can affect our society.
The Investigators premiered in October. The show follows investigative journalism and discusses the importance of discovering the unknown stories.
The young reporter was toured the halls of the CBC with the award winning journalist. Stark met with Swain for his third interview on Nov. 18 in her office.
He’s met with Chief News Correspondent Peter Mansbridge and veteran foreign correspondent Adrienne Arsenault in the last month. See the interview below.
