Community organizations providing Thanksgiving to Torontonians

Thanksgiving weekend in Canada is a time when many families get together to give celebrate life, give thanks and enjoy nice turkey dinners with their loved ones.

However, some Torontonians will spend the holiday alone. Others may not be able to afford a good meal during the holiday weekend.

For those people, several community organizations plan to host free Thanksgiving dinners with area residents.

For example, the Downsview Park Merchants Market will be providing families with free turkey, potatoes, and cans of cranberries and pasta on Sunday. This will be the  ninth year in a row for this community event.
