The Princess of Wales Theatre will be opening its doors to the public to watch the royal wedding on May 19.

The theatre will be providing complimentary baked goods, tea, coffee, juice, along with contests and prizes to be won and special celebrity guests.

All attendees who are going to “Toronto’s biggest royal wedding viewing party”as Mirvish calls it, are encouraged to dress up like they are actual guest for the royals, big day. A trip for two to London will be awarded to one lucky person who is the best dressed.

Mirvish has already given ticket to about 1,500 subscribers , the remaining free tickets went up for grabs on Wednesday at 9 a.m.

Door will be opening for this lavish event at 5:30 a.m. The screening of the wedding starts at 6 a.m.

There is an extra special Canadian connection to the royal wedding.

The children of Ben Mulroney, son of the former Prime Minister, will be accompanying Princess Charlotte and Prince George, as bridesmaids and page boys during Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal matrimony.

“The prospect of seeing Ben and Jessica Mulroney’s kids in

the wedding party is obviously Instagram GOLD!” says Toronto social columnist Shinan Govani.

“But besides the adorable factor, it speaks to the deep Toronto friendships that Meghan formed while living here – she was really seeped in the scene, here. It was, by all accounts, a very formative time for Meghan.”

Ben’s wife Jessica Mulroney is a close friend of Markle and reports say Mulroney has been helping Markle with wedding preparations.

“Symbolically, it is not lost on some of us that the Mulroney name – embodied in Ivy, and the twins now – also functions as a nod to the Commonwealth ties between Canada and the U.K.,” Govani said.

“The Queen was quite fond of Brian Mulroney, Prime Minister of Canada for many years, and this wedding now brings it royally full-circle, in many ways.”
