Anthony Scaramucci, the White House communications director who made headlines for his “colourful language”, is no longer working for the Trump administration. He worked for just 10 days.
“Anthony Scaramucci will be leaving his role as White House Communications Director,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement Monday afternoon. “Mr. Scaramucci felt it was best to give chief of staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team. We wish him all the best.”
Scaramucci is the third White House communications director to leave the post, after Mike Dubke left the job after three months. More recently, former White House press secretary Sean Spicer resigned. He, too, also assumed some the communications director role and objected to working under Scaramucci.
In just 10 short days, Scaramucci has generated controversy surrounding his rhetoric, namely his now infamous interview with The New Yorker.

Friday, July 21
After Sean Spicer announced his resignation, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Anthony Scaramucci had been hired as White House communications director. Scaramucci had previously worked as a financier and founded an investment firm.
Counselor to the president, Kellyanne Conway took to twitter to welcome Scaramucci to the Trump administration.

Scaramucci, who previously supported the presidential campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, took to twitter to assure his followers that his political views don’t matter. Instead, he encouraged his followers to pay attention to Trump’s.

Wednesday, July 26
After his financial disclosures had been released, Scaramucci implied that Reince Priebus, White House chief of staff, was responsible for the leak.
The financial disclosure claimed that Scaramucci still hoped to profit from his investment firm from the White House. However, the financial disclosure was publicly available from the Export-Import Bank.
At the time, Scaramucci claimed that Priebus committed a felony and called the F.B.I. and the Department of Justice.
Thursday, July 27
In a now infamous rant with New Yorker journalist Ryan Lizza, Scaramucci called Priebus a “paranoid schizophrenic” and also said that senior White House advisor, Steve Bannon, is capable of auto-fellatio.
After Lizza’s article had been published, Scaramucci made a statement on Twitter, confirming the validity of the phone call with the journalist.

Scaramucci claimed that the only thing he is guilty of is “trusting a reporter”.

Friday, July 28
After a seven-year battle to repeal Obamacare, Trump’s health bill failed to pass the senate, with Republican senators, including John McCain, voting against the bill.

Later that day, Priebus resigned as the chief of staff. Trump appointed retired Marine Corps general John Kelly as Priebus’ replacement.
“I’m not going to get into the mud on those sort of things,” Priebus said to CNN, who asked for a comment on Scaramucci’s profanity filled interview from the day before.
Scaramucci’s professional work isn’t the only aspect of his life coming under scrutiny. After multiple reports claimed that he wasn’t present for the birth of their son due to this commitments to Trump, Scaramucci’s wife, Deidre Ball, filed for divorce.
While the reason for the divorce has not yet been confirmed, it is speculated that Scaramucci’s wife did not support Trump.
Scaramucci took to Twitter in a series of tweets, asking the public to “leave civilians out of this” and asked his followers to put his “family in your thoughts and prayers & nothing more.”
He continued his tweets the following day.

Monday, July 31
Exactly ten days after being appointed to the Trump administration, Scaramucci was removed from his post.
John Kelly was sworn in as chief of staff, requesting Scaramucci be removed from the White House. Hours later, news that Trump had fired Scaramucci made headlines.
