Toronto honours 73rd anniversary of D-Day

Toronto honoured the soldiers that fought during Second World War at Nathan Phillips Square on June 6.

Visitors at the event heard veterans tell of their experiences, participated in two minutes of silence and watched a parade of Toronto first responders.

The event ended with a colour parties marching off as veterans from around the world came together to commemorate the event and the fallen soldiers.

The Canadian flag was set at half mast to mark the anniversary.
